Parallel Threaded Couplers

Designed to withstand a breaking load of at least 700N/mm 2 , which is well above the designed strength of most reinforcement bars. A SCTS standard connection is made of a parallel-thread rebar coupler and two bars whose end have previously been enlarged before being threaded: thus the cross section of the bar isn’t reduced.

Solution supported by 3 high-productivity machines which prepare each bar in sequence: clean square cutting > bar end enlarging by cold forging > threading. Thread on the rebar can be extended from a half-coupler to a full coupler length, allowing to use the very same coupler for positional applications (no need to rotate bars to perform the connection).

Terminator

Whether you are trying to tie pile cages In to capping beams or curtail reinforcing bars at the end of beams, heavy congestion or other constraints can often mean that bending of bars Is Impossible, or at very least, incredibly time consuming. Therefore, the Terminator JT can be used to fully develop the bar immediately at the surface of the head (providing concrete cone Capacity Is not critical).

Bolt-on Coupler

The SCTS BT range of couplers provides a cost effective method of joining reinforcing bars, particularly when the fixed bar is already in place and there is insuf fcient space for a hydraulic swaging press. They are easy to install and achieve failure loads higher than 108% of the characteristic yield strength of grade 500 reinforcing bar. Neither bar end preparation to form threads, nor bar rotation are required.

No need bar end preparation.

Sonic Tubes

Tubes are usually attached to the reinforcement cage along the full length of the shafts. After concrete has been poured, the tubes are filled with water. In Sonic Tube, a transmitter emits an ultrasonic signal in one tube. Poor concrete between the tubes will delay or disrupt the signal. The engineer lowers the probes to the bottom of the shaft and moves the transmitter and receiver upward, until the entire shaft length is scanned. The engineer repeats the test for each part of tubes. The engineer interprets data in the field and later reprocesses it in the office to check the structural integrity

Sonic Tubes are Push-fit type CSL tubes are made by thin steel tube, with an enlarge end in a bell mouth shape. Specially designed rubber gasket for the bell mouth ensures quick installation and perfect sealing to keep the tube integrity and avoid the entry of other materials.
